Review and Giveaway: HappyBaby Products!

The wonderful people at HappyBaby sent me some healthy and yummy product coupons so that I can taste test some products with my toddler and tell you all about them! I'm super excited to help spread the word about their company and tell you how you can get some of their products for your kiddos.

We were able to review several items including:

HappyPuffs bite size snacks for toddlers
HappyMelts Yogurt snacks for toddlers
HappyPouches for the on the go baby
HappTots on the go meals for toddlers

About HappyBaby:
A few short years ago, HAPPYBABY was the first premium baby brand to enter the market in 5 small stores in New York City—at a time when there were no homestyle options for parents to feed their children. Processed foods or homemade baby food—which can be time consuming for busy families—were the only options. A lot has changed, and we are now the leading premium brand of baby and toddler meals in the U.S.—sold in over 5,000 stores with 5 different lines of optimally delicious organic foods for your growing family.

My Review:
Now that I'm a mom, I think so much about what goes into my son's mouth. Thankfully, there are products out there that are not only healthy but organic and easy on the wallet too. There were a lot of things I loved about the products. One of the first products we tried were the puffs. The puffs come in several different flavors including apple, greens, banana and strawberry. I liked that they were made with whole grains and organic. Even their packaging is green. The puffs were small enough for my son's little fingers to pick up and they basically just melted in his mouth. He kept going back for more!

Where to Buy:
You can purchase HappyBaby products through their website or you can find them in most grocery and baby store retailers nationwide.

Giveaway Prize: HappyBaby has so graciously offered a winner to receive a HappyBaby Prize Pack which includes FREE product coupons so you can try these amazing products with your children!

BzzCampaign: Tom's of Maine Toothpaste

Have you heard of Tom's of Maine yet? Well, I was given the opportunity to try out their fluoride toothpaste in cool peppermint. I thought I was using a refreshing toothpaste before but after trying out Tom's toothpaste now for over two weeks, I am in love!  Here are some reasons why I love it so much:

They are cruelty free - NO animal testing or animal ingredients.
Healthy - NO artificial colors, flavors, fragrance or preservatives.
They give back - 5% of employee time is devoted to volunteering and 10% of profits goes to human and environmental goodness!

How did I like Tom's of Maine Wicked Fresh! toothpaste in Cool Peppermint?
The toothpaste has a very pleasant taste and provided me long-lasting fresh breath. I loved that it doesn't have any chemical additives. It also contains fluoride to help me fight cavities and does not contain alcohol. I've been using Tom's toothpaste now for two weeks and I can tell a noticeable difference in how my teeth feel and that my breath feels fresher, longer.

How can you get a tube of Tom's of Maine Wicked Fresh! Toothpaste?
The toothpaste is now widely available at grocery and natural food stores, pharmacies and stores like Target and Walmart nationwide. The suggested retail price on the toothpaste is around $4.19 for a 5.2 oz. tube.

To learn more about Tom's of Maine, go to http://www.tomsofmaine.com/!

Disclosure: I received a BzzKit through my affiliation with BzzAgent which contained a full size tube of Tom's of Maine toothpaste to review and two samples of toothpaste to share. The opinions expressed above are 100% mine.

Review: Norah Jones New Album..."Featuring"

The amazingly talented singer, Norah Jones, has come out with her new album called "Featuring." The album is a star-studded collection of Norah Jones' collaborations spanning her entire career. The result serves as a kind of parallel history to her four albums, which have sold over 40 million copies worldwide.

I was given a chance to review this album and as usual, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun to listen to all the duets of some of my favorite artists including Willie Nelson, Foo Fighters and Dolly Parton. Her music is full of soul and I could listen to her soothing sound all day. It's absolutely wonderful.

Songs on …Featuring range from classics recorded by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Joni Mitchell, and Roy Orbison to new material by such wide-ranging innovators as Ryan Adams and Q-Tip.

The 18 song album includes cool cameos, collaborations and duets from jazz to country, hip-hop to rock.

The track listing for …Featuring is as follows:

1. Love Me – The Little Willies
2. Virginia Moon – The Foo Fighters featuring Norah Jones
3. Turn Them – Sean Bones featuring Norah Jones
4. Baby It's Cold Outside – Willie Nelson featuring Norah Jones
5. Bull Rider – Norah Jones and Sasha Dobson
6. Ruler Of My Heart – Dirty Dozen Brass Band featuring Norah Jones
7. The Best Part – El Madmo
8. Take Off Your Cool – OutKast featuring Norah Jones
9. Life Is Better – Q-Tip featuring Norah Jones
10. Soon The New Day – Talib Kweli featuring Norah Jones
11. Little Lou, Prophet Jack, Ugly John – Belle & Sebastian featuring Norah Jones
12. Here We Go Again – Ray Charles featuring Norah Jones
13. Loretta – Norah Jones featuring Gillian Welch and David Rawlings
14. Dear John – Ryan Adams featuring Norah Jones
15. Creepin' In – Norah Jones featuring Dolly Parton
16. Court & Spark – Herbie Hancock featuring Norah Jones
17. More Than This – Charlie Hunter featuring Norah Jones
18. Blue Bayou – Norah Jones featuring M. Ward

Want to check out more of Norah Jones? Visit her official site.

Disclosure: I received a copy of Norah Jones' CD, Featuring to facilitate this review through my affiliation with One2One Network. The opinions expressed are 100% mine. In exchange for writing a review, I will be eligible to win a gift card.

**GIVEAWAY CLOSED**

Since becoming a parent, I'm always on the lookout for fun kid's music to play in the car on our way to the store or out of town to see the grandparents. I was given the opportunity to review a kid's music CD called "The Rattles."

"Parents, kids, and music lovers of all ages have been singing unanimous praises for ‘RATTLE ON’, the lively full-length debut from this furry musical menagerie – composed of life-long friends Gus, Sal, Hal, and Kitty.

See what others are saying about this music group:

"Acclaimed parenting author and ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ Editor, Susan Heim referred to the album as “unique”, “catchy”, and “awesome” while Blissful Bee Blog recommended it to “anyone who has children that love music.” The Clever Mommy Chronicles drew comparisons to The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, and Rilo Kiley, and raved, “Really, truly, the CD is fantastic. In fact, I was disappointed because it only has nine tracks. I found myself wanting more. That’s pretty big for a kids’ CD!”

To celebrate the album release, "The Rattles" have come out with a new website, http://www.rattlesrock.com/ where you can learn all about these fuzzy friends playing music together. This fully decked-out, colorful little corner of cyber-space allows The Rattles’ biggest fans to read up on the band’s back-story, listen to some groovy tunes, scope out a slew of tour photos, play interactive games, and shop for official band gear at the online store. There is even a special section for parents!

Here is the list of songs you will find on the CD:

1.Rattle On
2.Lucky Sam’s Banana Stand
3.Shipwreck in the Sky
4.Wavy Lane
5.Goodbye Yesterday
6.1-2-3 Count on Me
7.R-A-T-T-L-E-S
8.Monday Morning Drive
9.Apple of My Eye

Our whole family is music lovers. Even my two year old. When I put the CD in the car on our way to daycare, my son had a huge grin on his face when the music started. It's very catchy and family-friendly. The Rattles sound is a cross between The Beatles and Hanson. Before I knew it, the CD was over and I wanted to play it again!  I think our favorite song was 1-2-3 Count on Me. My son seemed to like the lyrics to that one.

Recipe: Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf

I'm a huge fan of meatloaf.
It's one of those foods that feel like it's
giving me  a warm hug while I'm eating it.
I have NEVER made it before. I've just eaten it.
I knew exactly who to go to for the best recipe.
If you don't know who I'm talking about,
you've got to check her out.
Oh, and her awesome cookbook.
It's the best thing I've ever bought!
So, without further adeu...

Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf
Recipe adapted from The Pioneer Woman's Cookbook

Ingredients:
1 Cup Milk
6 slices White Bread
2 pounds Ground Beef
1 Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1/3 Cup Chopped Parsley
4 Eggs
10 slices Bacon
1/4 tsp. Seasoned Salt
1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
3/4 tsp. Sea Salt

Sauce Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups Ketchup
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Dry Mustard

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, pour milk over bread slices.
Allow to soak up for several minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, mix ground beef, milk-soaked bread, Parmesan, seasoned salt, pepper, salt and parsley. Pour in beaten eggs.
Mix the ingredients until combined. (I used my clean hands as a mixer).
Form the mixture into a loaf shape onto the broiler pan. This will allow the fat to drain.
Lay bacon slices over top of meatloaf. Slightly overlap the pieces of bacon and tuck them underneath.
Make your sauce. Mix together ketchup, brown sugar and mustard in a small mixing bowl.
Pour 1/2 of mixture over top of bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Spread with spoon or pastry brush.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Pour other 1/2 of sauce mixture over top of bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Spread with spoon or brush.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Slice and serve.

I served this alongside some buttered baby peas.
Serves 6-8, plus leftovers.

Enjoy!
