Recipe: The Best Lasagna Ever!

I've made many lasagna's in my day and this one by far surpasses
all the ones I've cooked as well as bought pre-made.

First, start out by gathering what you'll need for the meat sauce.
Ingredients:
1 lb. Lean Ground Beef (85/15)
1 lb. Hot Breakfast Sausage
2 tsp. minced garlic
2 cans Diced Tomatoes
2 cans tomato paste
2 Tbl dried parsley
2 Tbl dried basil
1 tsp. salt

Cook garlic, ground beef and sausage in skillet on medium high heat.
Once browned up, drain off excess fat.

Add in 2 cans of tomatoes and tomato paste.

Add in your spices (salt, parsley, basil)

Simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes.

Now, gather what you'll need for the cheese mixture.
Ingredients:
3 Cups Cottage Cheese
2 eggs
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
2 Tbl. dried Parsley
1 tsp. salt
2 packages Shredded Mozzerella Cheese

Mix together cottage cheese, eggs, parmesan cheese, parsley and salt.

Now we're going to layer the lasagna!
Put a bit of meat mixture on the bottom so the lasagna noodles stick to them.
Add a layer of lasagna noodles.  (I use the oven ready kind as a time saver)

Add a layer of the cottage cheese mixture
and then a layer of mozzerella cheese.

Top with layer of meat mixture.
Then...
Another layer of noodles, cottage cheese mixture,
then layer of mozzerella cheese.

Top with last of the meat mixture and sprinkle top
vigurously with parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

See?  It's simply the BEST!
